A common picture in Thailand - drying fruit on the side of the street!
Disgusting to me (I can’t stand Bananas), but in Thailand you can regularly find fruit and other foods drying on the side of the road. These bananas happened to be at the end of my road and I received a few odd looks from the cooks at my favorite restaurant on the corner as I shot the fruit. I figured they’d be used to the farang walking around with a camera on her hip all the time!
I’m going to miss this town!!

Downtown Lang Suan - A woman selling fruit on the main road
I decided to shoot down in “busy” downtown Lang Suan. And by busy, I mean I fear for my life everytime I venture that way. No one looks. Everyone drives wherever they want to go. I swear I have five near-death experiences everytime I go down there. I spotted this lady selling fruit out of the back of her truck and started shooting the colorful fruit. She seemed welcoming so I turned to her and started snapping some photos and caught this one of her slicing some pineapple. I softened everything except the knife and pineapple to give the picture a little more focus. Even though her shirt was bright pink, I felt that black & white brought out the essence of this picture well!
