I’ve seen parasailing before.  But nothing like this.  It was getting late on Patong Beach and I think the Thai workers at the Parasailing Booth must have become a little restless, because they were most definitely not doing this earlier in the day.  As the boat would pull away from the beach getting ready to launch the customer into the air, the Thai would run after them and propel himself into the ropes of the parachute.  With no harness or anything.  The boat would make a nice loop around the bay and on its way back, the worker would flip himself down and fasten his legs around the unsuspecting farang to prepare for landing.  I have seen nothing like it!  The entire beach was in awe of this feat and after ten or fifteen of these trips, it became old news.  But when looking back at my pictures, I’m still in complete shock that this was done with so much ease!!  Only in Thailand!!

Walking on the beach at night in Patong, Phuket in Southern Thailand, I spotted our shadows stretched out on the sand.  Made for an interesting picture!  This was also taken with my point and shoot camera so the exposure had to be adjusted a little bit.

Walking the streets of Patong, Phuket in Southern Thailand, I spotted this beautiful portrait.  After taking a closer look, I decided that this was the weirdest group of actors to be in one photo together: Hugh Grant, Pierce Brosnan, and George Clooney.  They are in no way connected and I loved that somehow they ended up in the same painting!  This may not be the most artistic picture, but it sure is funny!!
