My neighbor and his best friend

My neighbor absolutely loves his rooster.  He takes him for walks.  He brushes his feathers.  He watches him play in the grass and carries him around like he’s his best friend.  Its like this bird is a dog!  I have never seen anything like it!

The dog just wanted to play!

In Lang Suan, there is an old temple, located on the river in a cave.  Unbeknownst to us, the temple grounds have been overrun by monkeys and they are the most ridiculous bunch of hooligans I have ever encountered.  A person could sit for hours just watching these little guys bounce around the trees, vines, and rocks, sometimes screaming and whooping at each other, but always doing something silly.

This little dog is owned by the lady that runs the little shop next to the temple.   He must think he’s a monkey because he just waltzed right up and started eating their treats and chasing them around.  James compared him to Buddy in Elf (where he thinks he’s a real elf because he was raised by elves) because this dog seemed to be completely at ease with the monkeys and they didn’t seem too bothered by him either.  It was so entertaining!

Eyeing a small dog across the park, Jax crouched down in his stalking pose to be less conspicuous.  A few moments later he was slowly moving toward the target.  As soon as they got close he ran towards the dog.  In a hilarious turn of events, the dog started running toward Jax, who immediately started running the opposite way!  What a scaredy cat!!

I’m going to miss this pup when I head back to Thailand tomorrow!

Posts might be a litte scattered the next few days because I will be travelling!  But don’t worry, I will most definitely be using my camera!

My dad owns a ranch right outside of San Diego in the San Pasqual Valley called Bandy Canyon Ranch.  It is 400 acres of pure beauty, where dogs can run free and relaxing isn’t an option.  It is a venue for weddings, concerts, company retreats, and pretty much anything else you can think of.  And its also a great place to take some pictures!!
